I am pleased to announce that, effective June 5, 2008, USNR acquired substantially all of the assets of Coe Newnes/McGehee Inc. ("CNMI") of Salmon Arm, British Columbia. The Newnes-McGehee business in Salmon Arm is now being operated as the Newnes-McGehee Division of USNR.
Since the bankruptcy of CNMI last week, USNR has been working diligently to rebuild the Newnes-McGehee staff and to restore the company's ability to meet its customers' needs. With the help of many long-time Newnes-McGehee employees, we have been making tremendous progress toward these goals. As of today, Newnes-McGehee's customer service and support functions are back in operation.
It is our intent to continue supporting all of the Newnes-McGehee product lines. So if you need service or parts for any of your Newnes-McGehee equipment, please call us at 250-832-7116. We have staff available to help you 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
USNR is working aggressively to address the problems which led to the bankruptcy of CNMI and to pursue our goal of making Newnes-McGehee a great company once again. USNR's past experience in turning around other troubled businesses in this industry and in managing through previous industry downturns makes us confident that we will succeed in this endeavor.
For many years, Newnes-McGehee has employed some of the industry's most qualified personnel and offered some of the best products on the market . Now those Newnes-McGehee people and Newnes-McGehee products will be backed by the financial stability of USNR.
